Sep 2007 - Difficult Harvest

The knock on effect of the 2007 harvest is now apparent, yields and quality have both been hit. In some case pulse yields are 50% down on the normal expectations. In our experience Winter bean crops have performed best where they have received fungicides with a little and often approach, some growers going in as many as 5 times. The key to successful pulses in 2007 was to keep on top of disease, although the continued wet weather made it very difficult for all.
